Alabama Sky

This picture of a beautiful sunrise was taken on Aprl 1st, 2014. It was April Fools Day. I was working in Alabama and thankfully had taken my camera with me. It was a long day ahead of me. I had checked out of the hotel early on a Tuesday morning around 6:30 am and was traveling with a co-worker. He pulled over into a truck stop near the hotel to fill up the fuel tank for our long trip back to South Carolina. The way we pulled into this station had me facing this awesome sunrise of what I call the ALABAMA SKY. What a surprise and delight to see, because I had never witnessed anything in the sky like that before. I immediately pulled out my camera to capture this moment.

I thought for a moment of how wonderful our Father in Heaven is, because of what I witnessed on this day. I thank God for seeing and capturing this moment. I give The Father honor and praise for it because of what the bible says in Psalm 24:1 "the earth and everything on it belong to the Lord. The world and all its people belong to him."(ERV)

Capturing moments like this morning sky not only shows how big and unique God the Father does things. The scripture Psalm 24:1 not only includes the earth and sky that belongs to God, but people like you and I are mentioned as well. So, take a good look at yourself today in the mirror or capture a moment of your own and zoom in on it. This Alabama Sky is amazing, but so are you. God the Father created you too and you belong to him, so thank Him for creating the magnificent and unique person that you are.
